What is Sodium Bicarbonate ?

Sodium bicarbonate, NaHC03, also known as sodium acid carbonate and baking soda. Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is an inorganic salt used as a buffering agent and a pH adjuster, it also serves as a neutralizer. It is used in skin-smoothing powders.
It is used as a leavening agent in the food industry, a carbon dioxide generator in soda and cold drinks, and a preservative for butter. It can be directly used as a raw material in the pharmaceutical industry.
It can also be used in film production, tanning, beneficiation, smelting, metal heat treatment, fiber, rubber and agricultural seed soaking. At the same time, it is also used as a detergent for wool, a foam fire extinguishing agent, and a bath agent.
